Provided by YP.comReceived excellent treatment addressing NEUTER, DEW CLAWS, TAIL DOCK, MICROCHIP. Having all four separate surgeries done at same time was convenient, cost-effective and easier for our pet. Dr. McIntosh and Staff at El Dorado Animal Hospital are "off-the-charts awesome" to deal with!

Provided by YP.comWe've taken our four animals to El Dorado multiple times over the past year, and whether it be an emergency or a routine check-up, we've always had a great experience. We've had pretty much everything under the sun happen as far as pet accidents - here and overseas - and Dr. Mac makes it better =)

Provided by YP.comwe had our first visit with the El Dorado Animal Hospital on Friday. Our dogs eyes and skin started turning yellow and at first I thought this was a side effect from the medication she has been on for her arthritis but after being seen we found out she has a pretty bad infection. Dr. McIntosh and the entire staff were so wonderful. When he started explaining what he thought was wrong I immediately started crying and after getting me some tissues he really took the time to talk through the treatment that he was recommended and had the technician provide me with an estimate for the cost of care. They offer a 20% coupon for the first appointment and that really saved me a lot of money for her treatment. This all happened on Friday and Dr. McIntosh has called several times this weekend to check in on her and see how she is doing. I would recommend this vet to anyone. Our dog is 11 years old and because my husband was in the military she has seen quite a few vets over the years from moving around and Dr. McIntosh and his staff are by far the best we have seen.

Provided by YP.comIf you’re looking for a caring and loving vet Dr. Mac is the vet for you. I have been going to him for 8 ½ years. I put all my faith and trust into him when it comes to my animals. He saved my dog twice from dying. He will never give up on you or your pet. If I ever needed him for anything he always answered my calls or returned my call within a short time. He will be honest and open and tell you the truth about your pet. If he feels a specialist is best for your pet he will refer you to them. He is open to your suggestions or ideas. He always made all my pets feel special when they came in. His vet techs are the best. They are very knowledgeable on vet care. They are courteous and kind. They knew my dog was super anxious about coming in so they would let me bring her in right before x-rays or any procedure instead of coming early and dropping your pet off. He will work with you to make your pet feel comfortable. He loves your animals as much as you do. My dog Sarah recently passed away and he was as heartbroken as I was, as well as his staff. Now that is a caring and loving vet. So don’t hesitate to check Dr. Mac out. You won’t regret it.

Provided by YP.comWe love Dr. Mac and the staff at El Dorado. I have been taking one of my dogs there for 12 years, she is diabetic and is monitored closely. Our other two dogs are also seen by Dr. Mac. The staff are always friendly when I walk in the door and not only greet me but my pet. Everything is explained in terms I can understand and I always feel like I can ask questions and/or call about concerns. I appreciate that treatment plans are gone over with me as well as estimates so I can make decisions about the care received.

Provided by YP.comLoved the vet, the price was reasonable but always charging a little more than what I'd expected until I went in to get him neutered. I was quoted $250 (which was already quite high but thought no, I like them and thats who he has always gone to) on the phone and then when my husband went to pick him up they charged $320 which is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous for a neuter! When I called to ask why I was told that it was because the pain medication. I would think that would be quoted in the price that I asked for before I took him in. Once again adding in those extra prices to get some more money. Very upset and although I liked the vet and staff I will not be taking anymore animals there because of this incident.

Provided by YP.comBad Experience...We boarded our small dog for a week and asked for her to be bathed upon our return. We called at noon the day we were to pick her up and said we would be there between 4-4:30. When we picked her up she was almost dripping wet ...we were given a small towel to bring her home. (Her being wet when picked up has happened before but we have not said anything when the weather was warm) It was 43+wind this day. I called when I got home upset as she shivered all the way home. I said I would like to be reimbursed the 32.00 for the bath as she was not dried. Dr. Mc said what was wrong with her being wet and would NOT take off the charge. I said then I will just have to find another place to take her....he said "GOOD". I was shocked...we have been good customers and spent lots of $$$ having our dog treated and boarded there. Not a pleasant way to end our trip or start the New Year.
