General Info

Dr. Parker received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Baylor University in 2001 and then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, receiving his MD in 2005. Dr. Parker successfully completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. During his residency training he received the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. He served as a faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor from 2009 through August 2014. He has been involved with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) since 2008 where he has held leadership roles including serving as the ACOG District XI Junior Fellow chair. Currently Dr. Parker serves as the ACOG District XI medical student advisor. His special practice interests include ambulatory gynecology and office procedures. Dr. Parker credits his family and his church for keeping him well balanced and focused on his devotion to a life of service. He has lived in San Antonio since 2001 and enjoys family time with his lovely wife Ashley who is an OB/Gyn specializing in maternal fetal medicine, their daughter Annalise, and their son Lincoln. In his spare time he enjoys volunteering with the youth at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, Texas. His hobbies include weight training, playing the cello, and playing sports such as ultimate frisbee.
