A & L Underground provides horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and installation of utility distribution and transmission lines. The company uses environmentally-safe materials to make directional drilling the method of choice on environmental remediation projects and utility installations in congested urban environments. It is divided into Horizontal Directional Drilling, Gas Distribution, Electrical, Water and Transmission Pipeline divisions. Chevron Pipeline contracted with A&L Underground for the installation of 16,000 feet of 8-inch product pipeline in West Bountiful City, Utah, near Salt Lake City. A & L Underground is headquartered in Lenexa, Kan., with regional offices in Memphis, Tenn., Little Rock, Ark., Largo, Fla., Hamptonville, N.C., as well as Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, and Alvin, Texas.
