There is a good reason why Alamo Harley service guarantees their workmanship for only 90 days, it is lousy. Had a voltage regulator replaced about 6 months ago and it started to drip oil right after that. It is an old bike, '95, but never leaks oil. Since it wasn't much leakage, I just wiped it up. I had no clue where it was coming from. Few weeks ago I cleaned all the oil off again and decided to see if I could find the leak. Sure enough, it is where the plug from the regulator goes into the engine to the stator! Part of the repair they did. Of course a trip to Alamo Harley service department just got me "it is past 90 days" in reply. Actually they may have saved me money. If I had taken it in before they surely would have found something else to charge me hundreds of dollars for! I think I will just do my own repairs now. Can't imagine I could do any worse, probably learn something in thre process, know what was done, not be over charged and only have me to blame if it isn't right!
For the most part visits to this establishment have been awesome. Staff is quick to greet you and show sincere interest in your needs and are ready to help you out...... That being said... This past Saturday we stopped by to puchase an Oil filter... HD was quick to be od service and reminded us of a few things we would need to properly replace the filter!!! AWESOME!!! On the other hand the receptionist at the enterance of the establishment was making it quite clear that she did not appreciate two young boys sitting at the table directly next to her. We stood at the entrance area of the store only to over hear her addressing them in a demeaning voice and insisting that they needed to find their parents. She seemed to be bothered by one of the boy's choice of ringer on his cell phone. Quite honestly I would not have notice the boys had she not been griping at them. NOT THE AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE BECOME ACCUSTOM TO AT Alamo city Harley
