Utah Medical Insurance Association is a physician-owned and directed medical liability insurance company. Operational since 1978, it has been one of the premier sources of physicians medical liability insurance in the Intermountain area. Utah Medical Insurance Association provides liability insurance to customers in Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. It provides claims-made policy and extended coverage for physicians/surgeons as well as basic liability protection for employment practices, medical, defense, death, disability and retirement. The firm is a recipient of the A-Excellent rating by AM Best Company. It holds accreditation by the Utah Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
