General Info
Boxpac Inc., formerly known as The Boxer, was started in 1978 by Larry Coates to satisfy the packing and crating needs of air freight and trucking companies. The Boxer expanded in 1985 and began providing services to local Utah companies moving equipment out of Utah. Today Boxpac, we changed our name in 2005, provides packaging, crating, and shipping services to individuals, companies large and small, local, state, and federal governments, and institutes of higher education. Over the last 29 years Boxpac has been working in the background to support the coming and going of major businesses along the Wasatch Front. We've also provided support for major events (Utah's bid for the 2002 Winter Olympics), scientific and medical discoveries (we've moved one-of-a-kind equipment and machinery for major hospitals and medical research facilities), Utah's downtown revitalization (we packed and shipped the stain glass windows for the Cathedral of the Madeleine during it's renovation), and archaeological finds (we've shipped everything from dinosaur fossils to mummies). We've also handled the packing, crating, and shipping for countless antiques and art objects - everything from paintings to sculpture (bronze, carved stone and wood, paper mache) to abstract art made from all types of material. Boxpac has been a family owned and operated business since day one. Over the last 29 years The Coates family, including Larry, his wife Kerry, and their kids.
