Salmon-Challis National Forest encompasses an area of more than 4 million acres. The forest offers various recreational opportunities, such as hunting, fishing, rafting, camping and hiking. It serves as a habitat for several fish, animal, plant and bird species. The US Forest Service location in Salmon, Idaho, and provides various volunteer opportunities.
