The Department of Accounting and Legal Studies, located in Salisbury, Md., is part of the Purdue School of Business at Salisbury University. The department is responsible for all accounting and law courses, which comprise the bachelor of science in accounting degree, the Franklin P. Perdue School master of business administration program and the minor in accounting. Additionally, it is responsible for the introductory accounting and law courses required of all management, marketing, finance and management information systems majors. A number of students in nonbusiness majors take some of the department's courses as electives as part of their degree programs. Students who graduate from the school pursue careers as financial professionals in areas, such as certified public accounting firms, industry, government and nonprofit organizations.
