Great Pizza, Great Burgers, Great Atmosphere. I think the service is actually very decent for such a new restaurant. some of these reviews are silly. If you have an issue with your server or a host, its your moral responsibility to ask for a manager and get it taken care of. The owners of this place are so kind and reasonable, and the staff has improved considerably since the place opened. It's sad to think someone would give such a horrible review about service, and not have the courtesy to say it in person, or even mention a servers name in the review.. Don't listen to them Mangiamo! you are doing great!

I'm a little confused by some of the reviews. I think this place is fantastic! The food is great and the portion sizes are huge! My husband and I share the lasagna. The desserts are all wonderful. I recommend Mangiamo's to everyone I know.

I've eaten there twice now - the antipasto salad - and it was delicious each time. Attentive, friendly service, good draft beer choices and a beer delivery system, complete with an ice-encrusted tap, that is fascinating and flavorful.

My wife and I just came home form our first visit to Mangiamo. Here is our honest feedback, and we have freqeunted most restaurants in the area. First, we were setaed within minutes of our arrival. Second, the atmosphere is very good, and the restaurant is very clean; a nice ambiance to it. We both had a glass of the House Red wine, which at $5 per glass was a very good value (a full glass). My wife had the shrimp, and I had the sausage pasta (forget exact name of dish). Both of our meals were very good, and for the pasta, I was only able to eat hal of the serving - very generous. Our waitress was good; friendly, and courteous. The dinner salads were on the large side, and very good! We finished our dinner with the Tiramisu sundae - excellent! They have a nice ice cream shop as well called Mickey's from which our sundae came - very good! Overall, we give it 4 out of 5 stars. We will definitely go back; for $50, the meal as a great value! Enjoy!

We love this restaurant! we drive from Ann Arbor at least once a week for family dinner. The Gouda Maca Cheesa is to die for. The house bread is fantastic, and the entree prices are cheap considering portion sizes are HUGE. Friendly Service. Great Food. Will definitely continue going.

I had the lunch order of lasagna today. It was extremely overpriced at $9.00. The portion was very small and served barely lukewarm. I had to ask for it to be reheated, and that took so long that my lunch partners were done eating before it came back to me. There was no side salad or roll served with my lasagna, which I thought was strange with the high price. I was still hungry when I finished eating. It was much different than any other lasagna that I have ever had. It consisted of about 1/2 an average lasagna noodle, folded in the center of a large bowl, smothered in tomato sauce with mozerella cheese melted over it. No ricotta cheese or meat. I tell you, I never felt so ripped off! The place was nearly empty (only two other tables at lunch time) and I can understand why. Something needs to change or this place won't make it.

Have been a few different times, to try different things, and unfortunately had the same disappointing results each time. My first disappointment was the Chicken Marsala, which was served with a side of spaghetti w/sauce all in the same dish, which completely ruined the Marsala sauce. We also experienced doughy bread like some of the others have commented about. My second disappointment was the Chicago Style pizza. Having been to Chicago, I found this not to be up to par with what I have had there. We have found their sauce that they use on everything is very heavy/thick and doesn't really have a "fresh" taste of homemade (tomatoes, spices), and the pasta has been overcooked rather than Al Dente. I am really sad about this because I was really looking forward to having a good local Italian Restaurant. They seem to have good burgers and subs, but Saline doesn't need another burger/sandwich/pizza place - we need good Italian meals. I'm sorry to say we will not go back.

I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the bar last night. I went out with my father, great aunt, and great uncle, and they had nothing bad to say. Our dinner salads that came with our pasta dishes were delicious, and my main course, chicken parmesan, was AMAZING! Those who were with me also throughly enjoyed their entrees also. After dinner I enjoyed a sundae from the ice cream shop, and I must say I have never had such creamy ice cream! My aunt had the carrot cake and the homemade vanilla ice cream, she couldn't get enough! I have not heard anything around town but positive compliments and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Amazing restaurant!!!!! Great food and great people! all these bad reviews are bull s*** there was absolutely nothing wrong with it! gouda maca cheese was to die for and so was the pizza. I have been there six times already and everytime was amazing. The interior decoration was beautiful too. From the hostesses to our waiter along with the owners its an all around great experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I was so excited for a locally owned, family Italian restaurant to come to Saline.. but after dining there I could not be more disappointed. The renovation is beautiful, and the ice cream shop is adorable, but those are the ONLY positive things I have to say about Mangiamo. My family was seated by a less than friendly host in a very cramped bar area. We sat at our table for probably 7-8 minutes while 5 waitresses gossiped near the kitchen without acknowledging we were there. I went to ask the hosts if we had a server and the girls just stared at me. Finally, a woman took our drink and dinner orders quickly. Mysteriously, our waitress disappeared and we never saw her for the rest of the night, a different person seemed to be taking care of us. When our food came out, it was like a parade of confusion. Two different people carried out our food and no one knew who ordered what. While the service was horrible, the food was was the worst part. See the next review..

Casual dining at fine dining prices. Service is lacking in many key areas: knowledge, finesse, and detail. Food is bland, under seasoned, and erratically prepared. Dishes are not as described on the menu, e.g. the gouda maca cheesa was not baked, nor was the soup homemade. The arrabiata sauce and the sauce for the cheese ravioli was identical. The "house made" sausage was very bland and very dry. Twice ordered pizza and first time the dough was raw, second time there was way too much cheese for the amount of crust. Garlic breadsticks were undercooked and the house rolls had more garlic. 9 in round of bread with one ounce of marinara. The tiramisu sundae was store bought lady fingers and coffee ice cream. Asked server for fresh parmesan for my pasta and was given that awful dehydrated stuff. Waited at hostess station for 3 minutes waiting to be acknowledged by the 3 employees standing there. In summary, a lot of mediocre food for a lot of money. 70 dollars for 3 people, no alcohol

Pleasant atmosphere. The first visit was spaghetti w/ meat balls, 8 out of 10. The next visit was a chicken wrap, 10 out of 10! I could become a regular. ( still miss Leutheusers)

Had a tasty lunch there on the 23rd. Pleasant waitperson. Very cramped in bar area, where we were seated. Good house chardonnay. Will return, but request seating in main dining rm. & hope it is more spacious.

Minus Stars. waste of time and money. stay home. Walked in, asked for my party. Hostess said don't know, look around for yourself. Found my people in the very bright cafeteria type room. Menu was limited; prices high for Ingredients and portion size, pictures looked less than appetizing. Service was terrible, provided by disinterested untrained kids. Granted, there were a slew of them running around. Food was watery overcooked noodles, in a weak at best alfredo sauce, with dry crusty chicken on top. Adding vegetables like tomatoes was an up charge. Asked for bread and parmesan cheese. Was given bread at end of meal with a shaker of cheese powder. After they brought our tab, they asked if everything was ok and did we want desert.

Loved the food and atmosphere. Our server Cortney was excellent. While we were waiting to be seated the host came around with free appetizers for everyone! The fried jalapeno peppers were yummy!

Our family checked it out opening weekend and were happy with the choices as well as the ambiance at reasonable prices. The brick-oven Pizza is great! The hand-tossed had a crunch on the outside and was soft on the inside, Fresh salads and tasty soups (We tried Minestrone and Broccoli Cheese). The Lasagne and Veal are good but not the best (Lasagne needs more filling): Although their marinara sauce is really excellent! I am looking forward to trying more soon. Glad to have more options in Saline.

My husband and I went last week for the first time, going again today and taking parents and kids. The Grown Up style mac n cheese was awesome, house dressing and salad delish, and the Rueben was fabulous, french onion soup very yummy! Service was great and prices very resonable with ample serving sizes. Looking forward to trying something new today.
