Established in 1934, Salinas Rural Fire Protection District provides a range of fire safety and prevention programs to the general public. Located in Salinas, Calif., it operates more than three fire stations throughout the City of Salinas and serves over 30,000 citizens. The district offers response services in cases related to accidents and medical emergencies. It additionally provides cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, rescue and educational services. The district also offers fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties. It has a staff of more than 36 full-time employees and over 15 volunteer firefighters. Salinas Rural Fire Protection District s staff includes assistant chiefs, fire marshals, administrative officers, administrative assistants and a bookkeeper.
