When I first went to Smile Keepers I was warned by friends about their customer service and quality of dental work. Sadly, I did not listen to my friends. My first visit went well, I was taken back only ten minutes late and the oral exam went quickly. My following visits went down hill. Two of my following visits I was left in the waiting room for over thirty minuets, and actual work didn't start until an hour after my appointment. One dental assistant (a red headed woman) actual had enough nerve to say that I was offensive because I complained about the wait time and the fact that the safety glasses given to me WERE NOT CLEAN! I have asked for my dental records and was given a faulty copy of my records. I asked for them to be changed to show what was actual said during my appointments. The office manager kept delaying giving me my records. I waited fit week over a month to get them and several times had to point out that the office manager was lying to me. Showing her, her own emails proving my point of her dishonesty. A dentist took my records to his home to rewrite them, and forgetting my records at his home for several days, for anyone in his home to have access to my dental information which was highly violating and he still did not have my records stating truth. I've also been trying to have a root canal done for many months, during my second to last appointment I asked the dentist specifically if I could have the root canal done during my next visit and was assured that I could. When I went in to get the root canal I was again left to wait an hour after my appointment before work started and was not given the root canal. The dentist denied saying that I could have the root canal and I was again made to wait even longer..... hopefully in two months I will actual get the root canal done. As I left my last appointment I was told "If you miss your next appointment we're going to let you go." I was appalled by the comment because I've always been early to ever appointment and have been treated poorly by the staff their..... what gives then the right to provide such horrible service and then turn around and tell me if I miss one appointment I'll be let go? Excuse me! Show me the policy that says one missed appointment and clients are let go! This is the first review I have taken the time to do and I hope it stops new clients from going into Smile Keepers and being mistreated. Staff at Smile Keepers also need Rio so making backhanded remarks about people that have OHP. Yes clients can hear your remarks from the other side of the paper thin walls. And to say that Smile Keepers scheduling issues are because of OHP is a joke! Your staff is responsible for scheduling and it has nothing to do with people that have OHP. I'm starting with this review and I may move onto the Oregon Board of Dentistry and the American Dental Association if they do not improve. No person deserves to be treated so poorly!
