- Lighting DesignLEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification is a way for builders to pursue a recognized ranking by the U.S. Green Building Council for their projects by earning points in building design and construction that address sustainability issues. Based on the number of points achieved, a project can receive one of four LEED rating levels: Certified, Silver, Gold and the highest ranking available, Platinum. LEED-certified buildings are efficient because they use less resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. LEED Certification applies to any type of project from hospitals to data centers. Cherry City has extensive experience with many types of LEED projects and our design team and implementation methods can help contribute significantly to reducing a building’s overall electrical energy usage in terms of power and lighting design/control that all add up to reducing a project’s environmental footprint. It’s more than just good for our planet. It’s simply good business.
