The department supports state agencies by providing a strong and stable management infrastructure. The Department of Administrative Services operates a division of budget and management that is responsible for developing budget and providing assistance to executive branch agencies in their budget development. It maintains a state services division that provides motor pool, purchasing and surplus services, as well as manages self-insurance and risk control services. The department additionally administers certificate of public management and employee suggestion awards program. The Department of Administrative Services is located in Salem, Ore.
