General Info

The focus of my practice is on the whole-person functional needs of individuals who have sustained brain injury (which includes concussions) and stroke. Patients can expect to discuss multiple treatment options for symptoms that they may be experiencing after their injury, such as spasticity, headaches, dizziness, trouble with walking, mood disturbances, issues with wheelchair or other mobility devices, guidance for returning to work or returning to driving, etc. It is my philosophy that the best care of an individual with brain injury or stroke requires the understanding of the social, emotional, spiritual and physical components of their particular lives and situations. After that understanding is obtained, my approach to treatment is collaborative, with input and shared decision-making between myself, my patients, and when appropriate, their family/caregivers. My practice is integrative in nature, combining evidence-based medicine when it is available, emphasizing wellness practices, and alternative medicine, when indicated.
