I'll start this review with a high level summary and then provide details for those who are interested. I would certainly NOT recommend this company. Knowing that I was in a desperate situation, they took my $169 for the initial inspection (which actually turned out to be $182 after fees), promising that they would apply it to the invoice for any work performed, then failed to follow up with a written quotation after multiple reminders, emails, calls, etc. In fact, they dropped the ball 5 times between the initial visit to the actual receipt of the quotation. After reviewing some of the other reviews, this seems to be a pattern. I could not imagine what it would be like if I actually contracted with them to do any real work.
My initial call was the first week in July. After hearing about my situation, (garage fire resulting in Duke Energy pulling the meter), the female answering the phones put Dave on speaker phone so that he could better understand the situation. My mother had just perished in the fire so it was a little sensitive. After telling Dave what happened and what needed to be done, he said he understood but that they were very busy and the best he could do was later in the following week (this was on a Friday). A week came and went so I called back 10 days later. The same female that I originally spoke to answered the call again and had no record of my original call or any request for an appointment. I had to tell the whole story all over again and when I was nearly finished, she said, "Oh yeah, now I remember!" and then blamed Dave for dropping the ball. She was able to squeeze me in with another technician either the same day or next day. I think his name was Rob but not positive on the name. When he arrived onsite, the first thing he said was, "Good little fire you had here!". What an inappropriate thing to lead with when my mother had died in the fire. I couldn't believe he would say that but he said no one had prepared him before he arrived. In any case, he was a nice enough fellow and completed the inspection. He walked me through the items that would need to be addressed in order to pass the inspection and have the power restored by Duke. He commented that it was not a big job in terms of expense or labor and could be completed relatively quickly. He said that he would write it up and send over the estimate to my email address the next day.
Nearly two weeks passed and I never received an estimate/quotation that included any dollar amounts, only a recap of the items that needed to be completed. I called the office again and spoke with Dave. Dave apologized and said he would check with the project manager and get back to me quickly. When Dave called back he said the costs weren't included because the work would be covered under service. I said I didn't understand what that meant and that for insurance purposes, I needed a quotation that included the estimate cost for repairs. He said he would get with the project manager and have something over to me the next day. I never received anything after a few days so I called Dave again. He apologized and again said it would just be covered under service. I reminded him about our previous conversation and he said he would get something over to me ASAP. When the quotation arrive a few hours later I was shocked! It was over $3,300. So much for being covered under service. In his quote he included a full replacement of the electric panel which "Rob" said was not necessary. "Rob" had removed the panel cover and confirmed all internal components were OK and that it only needed a front panel. Dave said this was not possible and would talk to "Rob". Miraculously, after discussing with "Rob", I received a new quote for $1,585 which still includes parts that are outside of "service".

Great company!!! Kevin came out on a Saturday and was very knowledge about a car charging station to be installed in my home. And took the time to really understand what was there and what would be needed to make it all work correctly. Then Kevin and his crew came out and did the job in the time they said it would take. Great Guys and Great company ... I would use them again!! Which I am getting them to quote for something at the company that I work for in Tampa!

Pinellas County Electric rocks! I called/emailed several other electricians and the customer service was pathetic. I received no response from the first business and "maybe next week" from the 2nd business. I scheduled an appt with a 3rd business, took a day off work, and they weren't able to keep my appt. Then I called Kevin at Pinellas County Electric. He was at my house in less than an hour. He quickly diagnosed the issue and made time to get the work done the next day. The work was high quality, the prices were fair, and the crew was friendly and professional. I'll definitely call Pinellas County Electric again.

Kevin certainly cares about people! I had an emergency situation at my Rental Property, the Fire Dept. had to shut off the main. Kevin responded to our situation in hours. He thought I had children and immediately wanted to help, upon hearing that the Fire Dept. was involved. Who really makes you feel concerned that way in today's world? (not many) Kevin was contacted for us by my A/C Service Company. Not only did he replace and fix the wiring in the outlet, he provided a proposal to upgrade our electric. EVERYTHING that was in our proposal to be upgraded and brought up to code, is EXACTLY the service we received. He went above and beyond his duty, responding in our time of need was just unsurpassed. Thank you, Pinellas County Electric, I hope anyone who needs electical service finds you! Professional, Courteous and Prompt.
Kevin, I wanted to drop you a note to let you know how pleased Carol is that the microwave doesn't cause the circuit breaker to kick off while she is preparing dinner - and thanks for sending John back out so quickly to check the entry outlet - I also hope my "testimonial" met your satisfaction. We enclosed a screened patio to make it inside space and Pinellas County Electric was the electrical subcontractor. The electrician did all of the fixture installation and wiring exactly as we requested. He clearly took the time and made the extra effort to "do it right" and he showed a lot of pride in the work he did. Highly recommended based on our experience!

This is THE best service company I have found in years. Professional, expert, timely and fairly priced. The work is superb and they are truly perfectionists. IT WILL BE RIGHT if they do it. They saved us form an electrical nightmare and possible fire. Got us totally reworked and back up; even worlking in the rain to get us done. I almost wanted to adopt them..... You will never be sorry you called thees guys in on any electircal problem large or small. What a pleasure to find there are STILL people out there you can count on to do a safe, excellent job and not rip you off. Kevin and team were friendly, honest and offered us options that we could afford. They did a great job, leaving our electrical in nice, neat order. They explained the options, made logical recommendations and charged us fairly. We appreciate the work and would highly recommend Pinellas County Electric to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Thank you to Pinellas County Electric. We had a fuse box/service panel that needed to replaced immediately due to safety issues. Pinellas County Electric delivered prompt, professional service and got the job done so very efficiently. They showed concern for our situation which showed me that my family and I were working with a trustworthy, experienced company. This is the company to contact with any electrical issues!

At nine o clock at night on a Friday, our electrical panel started smoking. I looked in the phone book and found no one to come out. I lastly called Pinellas County Electric, Kevin was nothing but satisfying. He came out and found that our surge arrester had been hit causing it to smoke. He was very polite and informative to us. I would recommend them to anyone seeking an "Real" electrician. Best of Luck! -Rossmans
