Maximo Microsociety and Visual Arts Elementary School offers academic programs to students in prekindergarten through five grades. The school s library provides a range of books, newspapers and encyclopedias. Its MicroSociety program is the student-based entire school reform and research-based education program that transforms classrooms by providing a real-world context for academic learning. The students collaborate with parents, business volunteers and teachers and create functioning small communities. It offers classes in computer skills, word processing, Internet research skills and PowerPoint presentation software to showcase projects in the computer lab.
