G A Food Service of Pinellas County, in St. Petersburg, Fla., was founded in 1973. The company s initial primary focus was providing hot, nutritious meals to Elderly Nutrition Programs on the west central coast of Florida. From its main production facility in St. Petersburg, the company provides this service to programs that range in size from 1,000-4,000 hot meals daily in more than 40 states. G A s product line includes the Total Meal System, consisting of two, five or seven complete meals, including frozen, ready-to-be-heated meal component, bread, margarine, dessert and nonfat dry milk. In addition, G A has a shelf stable meal line. G A produces pre-portioned frozen meals in its USDA inspected plant. Nationally, the company markets its meals under the Sun Meadow brand.
