General Info
Minnesota Ice Sculptures is the newest provider of premier ice sculptures in the Twin Cities. An ice sculpture will take any event to the next level and immediately captivate your guests. Ice sculptures leave a unique impression that cannot be replicated by any other décor. MN Ice Sculptures was created by two ambitious University of St. Thomas students, Robbie Harrell and Stu Lombardo, during the summer of 2013. During their 5+ years of experience in the ice sculpting industry, Robbie and Stu recognized that the ice sculpting industry lacked quality customer service and that the current ice sculpture prices prevented the general public from enjoying them. These observations led Robbie and Stu to combine forces and build a computer numerically controlled (CNC) ice carver to produce ice sculptures. Amidst a market dominated by hand sculptors, MN Ice Sculptures stands apart from the competition by owning the only CNC ice carver in Minnesota. The CNC machine has enabled MN Ice Sculptures to remove inefficiencies from the ice sculpting process and thus, can repeatedly deliver quality sculptures at a lower rate than hand sculptors. Currently, Robbie and Stu are completing their undergraduate degrees at the University of St. Thomas. Robbie is majoring in entrepreneurship and is a business consultant specializing in social media, website and I.T. development, point-of-sale deployment, and graphic design. Stu is a dual major in business administration and mechanical engineering with an emphasis in manufacturing and operations management. Without the help and guidance from their family, friends, professors, mentors, and other sculptors, this endeavor would not have been possible.
