Island Lake Elementary School is affiliated with Mounds View Public Schools, which operates more than 10 schools and serves approximately 10,000 students. The school provides academic services to over 700 students in kindergarten through grade five. It has a staff of nearly 75 full- and part-time certified teachers. In addition to its core subjects, the school provides special programs, including Title I, special education and English as a Second Language. It maintains a parent-teacher association that organizes various fundraising events for the benefit of students and the school. Island Lake Elementary School is located in Shoreview, Minn., and provides food and transportation services to the students.
