I work with many men and women who are recovering from addiction and I can say that I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to recover and heal from their addictions. While the president of this company, Mark Thisius may be physically sober from chemicals, he has a horrible case of the "dry drunk". The environment he creates is emotionally and mentally abusive. I've heard countless stories about him degrading and bashing the clients. He is extremely racist. He has been known to make fun of people because of disabilities, weight, race, etc. He is in no way the image of someone in long-term recovery. I know from my work in prisons that they will not even send prisoners there. He has been known to also take advantage of people financially for his own profits. Many of my clients have stated that he creates a hostile living environment which triggers some of them to want to relapse. Sure, the cost of living there may be cheaper than many sober houses, but like with many things, you get what you pay for. If you are serious about long term sobriety and recovery, you should pay the extra money to go else where.
