Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota also serves over 125,000 members enrolled in government-sponsored and nearly 184,000 members enrolled in Medicare programs. It additionally provides consumer-directed health plans. The organization serves 200,000 members in its Options Blue plans, which combine a high-deductible health plan with a financial account and support from health management services. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota offers preventive services and programs that help people with chronic diseases and illnesses live healthier lives. It is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
