The company uses the steam treatment of powdered metals using formula FE304(4) Magnetite formation of iron oxide. Elk County Heat Treaters is capable of steam treating the materials, including castings, stainless steel, bronze, carbon, felt and stampings steels. Headquartered in St. Marys, Pa., Elk County Heat Treaters is a privately owned company that employs nearly 15 people.
