Reviews
I just moved to the city and needed a vet that would make a house call to euthanize my very old, sick and beloved dog. Wagenknecht was so good to us and so sweet. My Mary didn't even bother to get alarmed and she passed away blissfully. He explained everything to me before he did it, we had several phone conversations before he even came over and he worked us into his busy schedule even though he had a full day of spaying and neutering ahead of him. He apparently volunteers much of his time and effort towards helping the locals with the TNR (trap, neuter, release) cat colonies around here. He was good to us and I think he's good for the animal community in general. His assistants were really nice on the phone too.

I've taken my pets to Dr. Phillip Wagenknecht, the veterinarian at St. Louis Pet Clinic on Grand, since we moved to this neighborhood in 2001. We have always found him to be professional, competent, and compassionate, and his staff helpful and competent as well. I also use this clinic in for TNR work with feral cats. I cannot recommend this team highly enough.

I learned this "vet" has his staff perform spays so he doens't have to work. If you need a real DVM, this IS NOT the vet for you
i am not sure i can recomend this vet because i did not get to meet him.. i was in search of a new vet since we moved here .. he was recommended to me by a friend that now lives in Florida .. first off i was overly questioned about my pups example was i selling them for x mass and got a big lecturer from a brash kinda dried up gal that wanted to know all my business .. i mentioned that my family does resue work and she proceeded to fire questions at me.. well that turned me off right there .. and number two i never did get to meet the vet and i was hoping to start a repore w/a new vet .. .. but a very nice lady named jt did do my animal shots and she was sweet .. so i still am in search of a new vet
