Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University serves more than 7,500 undergraduate and over 4,000 graduate students. The university organizes athletic competitions in baseball, basketball, cross-country, field hockey and soccer. It manages the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Nursing. Saint Louis University also operates libraries that offer access to a selection of journals, magazines and newspapers. The university provides instruction in accounting, dentistry, business administration and anatomy. It operates the Simon Recreation Center and the Busch Student Center. The university offers food, health care, guidance counseling and financial solutions. In addition, it provides research and adult education programs. Saint Louis University operates nearly 150 student clubs and organizations.
