Long Elementary School, governed by the Lindbergh School District, provides educational and extracurricular programs. The school s staff members include nurses, counselors, reading specialists, technology assistants and subject teachers. Founded in 1960, it has a library that offers picture dictionaries, encyclopedias, textbooks, storybooks, and fiction and nonfiction books. Long Elementary School provides education to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies, physical education and language arts. Its parent-teacher organization sponsors fundraising events, book fairs, and game and Halloween nights. Long Elementary School has a guidance department that organizes counseling sessions for students and parents.
