General Info

Dr. Jason Keune performs abdominal wall surgery and minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery. He treats patients in need of ventral hernia repair, inguinal hernia repair, and hiatal hernia repair, including giant paraesophageal hernias. He also performs complex abdominal wall reconstruction and surgery for gastroesophageal reflux disease and achalasia. His research interests are biomedical ethics, especially medical business ethics and social justice. Dr. Keune is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is also the executive director of the school's Bander Center for Medical Business Ethics. Dr. Keune is the father of three children. He once appeared as a doctor on MTV’s “Scarred.”
