Are you depressed or are you grieving? If I asked you for the symptoms of depression, as well as the symptoms of grief, most people would tell me that depression and grief stricken people "look" or "feel" similar. Both report having low mood, no energy, wanting to isolate or withdraw, reporting problems with sleeping or sleeping too much. Most often times, we are prescribed medications for our "depressed" symptoms and those medications are designed to help a chemical imbalance that is causing depressive symptoms. But what if it was grief? There are no medications designed to help bring your loved one back, or deal with any other type of loss.
