Community Action Partnership of Greater Saint Joseph, formerly known as the Economic Opportunity Corporation of Greater St. Joseph, implements a wide range of programs to help low-income individuals and families. Located in St. Joseph, Mo., the agency provides training funds, child care, transportation, relocation and other support services for those who have been laid off and are receiving or have exhausted unemployment benefits. It provides financial assistance to low-income households from sources, such as Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, Emergency Crisis Intervention Program and Federal Emergency Management Agency funds. Community Action Partnership of Greater Saint Joseph s intensive in-home services are funded through the Department of Social Services and are offered free-of-charge to volunteer families.
