Northeast Kingdom Human Services has various locations, including one in St. Johnsbury, Vt., provides community-based, consumer-sensitive, mental health, substance abuse and developmental services to the residents of the community. Its trained and experienced staff offers its services in helping people recover from acute mental illnesses and alcohol and substance abuse problems. The agency serves schools, businesses and individuals independently. It also provides its services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, mental impairment, autism and other pervasive developmental disorders. Its community-based services are customized and designed to assist people with disabilities to live in their own homes and be active members of the society. The agency s personal support and case management services assist individuals with personal care and safety, skill development, vocational support and self-determination services. In addition, Northeast Kingdom Human Services vocational program places individuals in the workplace and provides on-the-job training and ongoing support programs.
