Great River Federal Credit Union, headquartered in St. Cloud, Minn., offers members products and services through a variety of delivery channels that require both physical branches and automation. Established in 1964, it has more than 17,000 members, and serves persons who reside in Stearns, Sherburne and Benton counties in Minnesota. The credit union is member-owned and controlled through a board of directors elected by the membership. It encourages members to save money by paying higher dividends on savings and by offering loans to members at lower interest rates. Great River Federal Credit Union provides Internet home banking, has automated telephone account access and provides ATM access to member s accounts. In addition to high-yield investment accounts, it also provides various low or no-cost services, including a wide range of loan products designed to reduce members borrowing expenses, free financial and tax planning, and budget counseling.
