The St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Department is governed by the city of St. Cloud, Fla., which also operates fire, finance, human resources and library departments. The department provides a variety of recreational programs and activities for individuals. It operates the Civic Center and several community parks. The Civic Center serves as the center of the department's activities that provides programs and special events. The center covers an area of more than 10,000 square feet that includes a gymnasium, swimming pool, pavilion, ball field complex, multipurpose field, concession stand and horseshoe courts. The St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Department offers athletic and sports activities, including volleyball, football, martial arts, skating, soccer, biking and basketball.
