Actually I found the shelter to be a wonderful place, all things considered. There are 120 dogs who live there at any given time. While some do get sick, most do not. The shelter is cleaned daily from top to bottom, but it does take all day to get the entire facility cleaned. Staff members are overworked, underpaid, and deal with stupid people all day long while trying to also take care of the dogs and cats in their care. Compared to what other shelters in the area look like, this one is pretty darned nice.

the staff is incredibly rude and has been for years. also, over the years that i have had to deal with them, the animals' poor living conditions have not improved. they have a high percentage (probably about half) of animals that are sickly. and none of the animals are clean. they also have dogs who "live" at the facility who are allowed to run about the parking lot. i think this is very irresponsible and a very bad example to set for people.
