Melissa has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience with crisis intervention, grief & loss, body image and DCFS involvement. Additionally, Melissa’s experience includes work with elementary, middle school and high school students experiencing familial changes including death, divorce and parental incarnation. She has also worked in residential settings with adolescent girls experiencing eating disorders. Melissa believes in the creative process of therapy while utilizing a variety of modalities including art therapy, client-centered and strength-based. She is genuine, has unconditional positive regard and empathetic understanding throughout the therapeutic relationship. Melissa believes that with the right tools, individuals can move through life’s challenges to live the life they desire.
