Established in 1947, the Saginaw Housing Commission provides various housing assistance services to low-income families. Its modernization and capital programs deal for the management of the Housing Commission s capital fund and development activities. Its finance department manages and control accounting activities, such as payroll, budget, ledgers, tenant payments, investments and capitalization. Its maintenance department provides maintenance services, such as floor and tile replacement, fixing broken windowpanes and pest control. It has a computer learning center that provides more than 150 educational software programs and also offers adult residents with access to the Internet.
