Make sure whenever you drop something off to be fixed or for any reason to make them give you a receipt. My daughter got married on Aug.8th, took her rings there to be saudered together and was told it would be two weeks!! What! Obviously they don't have a goldsmith on the payroll as most jewelers do. It has been almost 3 weeks now so I called them personally and raised a rucus with the manager. I've never heard of such a thing as not getting a receipt (what if the place burned down), Her husband worked very long and hard to pay for that ring just to hand it over to someone without any paperwork and then for them to have to be called over and over again to see if it is ready. It's ready today and she will "NOT" be paying the $40.00 charge for it. Sorry Bauers, your grandfather the original owner who I knew would roll over in his grave if he were aware of how his store is being managed. We will never go there again for anything.
