It serves landowners, businesses, government agencies and land trusts. Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., it is one of the premier land resource companies in the United States. The company owns and manages forests in the southeastern United States, producing lumber and wood products for domestic and international markets. Its staff has 65 years of combined experience in the environmental field and over 25 years in environmental mitigation banking. Westervelt Ecological Services is a participant in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). Some of its projects were Big Sandy Mitigation Bank, Mariner Vernal Pool Conservation Bank, Pensacola Bay Mitigation Bank, etc.
