My experience with Valley tool repair is TERRIBLE. 1st time I went there, I bought a part for a cut off saw and left a rivet gun to be repaired. They gave me the wrong part although I gave them the old part. I had to make a 2nd trip to get the right part. While they were waiting for parts for my rivet gun, I took in a Milwaukee tool under warranty, they read the serial number incorrectly and although I had a receipt showing I purchased it 5 mos ago they insisted it was 16 years old and wasn't covered by the warranty. They wanted me to give them $20. for an estimate. I refused. I took the tool to another repair shop and they fixed it under warranty with no problem. Valley tool kept my POP rivet gun over 2 mos but never gave me a cost estimate. They repaired it without my approval of the cost and then gave me a bill for $315.62. When I refused to pay this amount, they disassembled the rivet gun, gave me a bunch of loose pieces in a plastic bag minus the old parts which they destroyed.
