I had an ongoing problem with a noise that several mechanics tried to fix. I walked away with hundreds of dollars in repair bills for needed services but the noise still persisted. A friend recommended Campus Shell. I was leary but had nothing to lose. They said the problem was wheel bearings and fixed in one wheel but the noise persisted. They repaired the other wheel and it fixed the problem finally! The most unexpected part....They only charged for the one wheel since the first one did not fix my problem. Unbelieveable. They are awesome to deal with, fair pricing, and have the integrity not to sell something not needed. Thank you!
Greg, the manager and his excellent mechanics are rare to find. I've brought cars to all the cheapest places to get mechanical work don, and most of the time such cheap work isn't fixed properly. Well, I finally brought my car to Campus Shell, and for once, I got repairs done worth the money. I have no problem with my car now. I paid a little more, but the work was done well and with good parts. I can now drive my car without worrying about a new repair busting apart while on the highway like my last one that I had taken to a cheap, fast mechanic. I never drove that car again. I wish I had taken all my cars previously to Campus Shell..
One afternoon on 9/2/2010, I was driveing on University Ave. going toward Fair Oak Blvd. And my radiator hose was leaking. So, I pulled over to Shell gas station, which right on the corner of University and Fair Oak. I popped the hood and inspect for leak, I found a small leak on a heater hose. Looked like it need to reclamp. So I asked one the attendance if I can borrow a pliers. He was cool enough to let me borrow. while i was work on it, and here came another guy, he look like he was in charge of the station. So he told to move to the side of the building and he will let me continue borrow the tools. so i moved and waited for him to come over and offer me some help. But dude failed. I waited almost 1 hour. While i was waiting i called my relative to come over and bring me some tools. Dude came out and looked at me while i was fixing my car. He looked like he doesn't wanna help me. but I'm ain't tripping. Shady muther f**ker.
