I visited Sally's Beauty Supply at 8359 Elk Grove Florin Rd Suite 107, Sacramento, CA 95829, with the intention of purchasing products for my hair.I was with my daughter and mother-in law.While having some products in my hand which I was planning to purchase, I was approached by an employee and offered me a basket to put my products while I continued my shopping.Immediately after, she demanded I open my purse, however since I have a language barrier I asked my daughter what was she saying and my daughter translated.I knew it was not good due to her tone and her body language.She demanded again that I open my purse (my daughter continued translating).I was so shocked and could not believe what she was asking me.I opened my purse and showed her (of course there was nothing there).I was so upset, specially seeing my daughter's reaction.My daughter was asking me why was she so rude and why was she asking me to open my purse.I was in disbelief.I requested to speak to the manager but the manager was not there.I have never been so shocked and embarrassed in my life.This was totally offensive to me.The next day, I went to the store with my mother-in-law to speak to the manager.The manager felt the employee was in the right, however when my mother-in-law told her that I had called customer service to report the incident, she immediately said that me calling customer service would make her look bad and then she apologized to me.I feel that the proper procedure if an employee has any suspicion of theft is to stop the person before exiting the store, bring him or her to an office or room, call the manager and the police department for an officer to come down to do their job/search, rather than embarrassing me in front of my family, employees, and customers in the store,damaging my reputation and now have me known as a thief.This is not acceptable. I demand some action taken to this department and to the employees involved in this issue.I am very disappointed on how the manager and the employee reacted to this.I have gone to this store on various occasions and never had a problem.Why this employee thought that I was stealing I do not understand.This has affected me greatly and specially my daughter.How dare that employee accused me of such a thing and in front of my daughter.I am also requesting that parties involved to watch the store camera and to let me know if there is any evidence of stealing or even an intention to steal.I guarantee that the cameras will show you that I am a honest, respectable, and had no intention of doing anything wrong.
