Decided to go to Freeport Bar & Grill for a close-to-home dinner with family. The restaurant used to be a great place to go for a relaxing dinner. Haven't been there in a couple of years. Bar was very busy - the dining area was not and we were able to walk in. My favorite entree was the pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. The gravy used to be so flavorful and rich. This trip, it was not. The pot roast was tender, however, the overly thick, bland gravy was poured over almost every item on the plate. Had to add the horseradish to the gravy to rev up the flavor. I will have to remember NOT to order it again. Our service person, Maria, was great and really took care of our table of 6. My husband ordered the succulent ribs. Fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was sweet 'n tangy.

Totally amazing! There french onion soup is to die for!!!! Nice service!

One word for this restaurant: AMAZING. The servers are very friendly and the food is wonderful. This is a little pricey, but completely worth it; you get what you pay for. They offer a spectacular dessert as well: fried bananas with vanilla ice cream. It is simply amazing!! Take a drive by the river and enjoy a great dinner.
