The food was excellent but we waited almost an hour and a half before our entrees were served. Our appetizers were were sporadically brought to the table and we were about to leave when the entrees finally arrived. Our waiter told us the delay was because the take out orders needed to be completed first and the manager was not at all apologetic.

Went for a business lunch with a party of 13. Drinks came immediately, appetizers shortly after. The food was awesome and the portions were VERY large. There was no disappointment except one co-worker that had no idea what he was ordering :) Funny. I finished his meal, it was good. If you like Panda Pavilion down the road you will enjoy Ginger China. Very similar in presentation and price.

Ginger China was a wonderful surprise. The food is NOT swimming in oil or grease. We ate there two nights in a row and could not detect any oily residue in any of the dishes. We did not, however, order anything deep-fried. The hot and sour soup is terrific. We asked about Singapore noodles, a dish that was not on the menu. They had no problem preparing it and it was wonderful. The service is excellent. As long as the food stays as good, we will be going back every time we are skiing at Killington. The only thing we would not do again is order alcohol.
We tried Ginger China because it was recommended by a friend. We are glad we did! The service is great! The servers are friendly and accurate. You are sometimes served in courses depending on what you order. You get the usual yummy duck sauce served with fried wontons and then small plates for your beginnings. They remove those and replace with dinner plates for the main course. Finally fortune cookies and a sliced up orange. It is a step above the rest of the city restaurants we have been to. The place is clean and has linen table cloths and napkins with no stains. They change them everytime patrons leave. Highly recommend!! Been there three times and the quality is still of high standards so my husband likes to leave a 30%+ tip! You will not be disappointed! We have ordered: Sushi, Poo-Poo Platter, Veggie Lo Mein, Veggie Fried Rice, Chicken and Broccoli, Chicken Fingers and Boneless Spare Ribs during our last visits. Thank you Ginger China! We will be back to celebrate your 1 year!!

Do not let the bland menu fool you! At first glance the menu looks very similar to other Chinese menus (I am not so familier with the Sushi offerings) similar items, similar prices. But, the flavor of everything is fantastic! From the broth in the wonton soup (as well as the wontons) to the exquisite presentation of the appetizers to the wonderful, fresh, richly flavored main dishes that I have tried - everything is so good! This is our new favorite in the Rutland area - as good as Thai Star! The prices are the same as most other places but the quality is significantly better. I have not had any trouble with the speed of the service but I go there to relax with my meal - not hurry through it - so I may not be the best judge of the service speed. The wait staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Excellent food- the ingredients are fresh and everything seems to be made to order. I am very impressed!
A freind and I ate at the Ginger Chins on Saturday night. The food was so wonderful. The service was excellant. We enjoyed the flower radish on our plates a special touch. We will be going back soon. Thank-you so much for adding to our celebration on saturday night. Rebecca Fisher

We went early on New Years Eve, like 5:00. Food is wonderful - just as previous reviewer described. Presenational was amazing, food tasted wonderful. But the service was AWFUL. They werent busy yet when we arrived, but we waited 40 minutes. They had opened just a few days before and obviously just did not have their system ready. Finally, with 2 children, we decided to leave, but they encouraged us to stay. We got soup right away for the hungry kids, but the meal still took another 30 minutes. When the food came, it made up for the issues essentially. More than enough to take home for leftovers. Nice atmosphere. Hopefully their service will work out it's kinks. I would do take-out next time. The take-out line seemed to be moving really quickly!

Don't be judged by the plain sign out front - AMAZING! Great sushi, beautiful setup and atmosphere, FRIENDLY waitresses and owner and most important, big portions and fantastic presentation. Enough left overs for almost 2 meals, the sushi prices are low and they don't skimp on anything. Downside? It took a while for our food to come out, but WORTH it! For those looking for drinks, cocktails are cheap and their bar is clean. The entire place is spotless. A little pricy for regular wear, but definitely something to look forward to.
