Shares is a private, nonprofit agency that provides services and programs for people with disabilities in Shelby, Hancock and Rush counties in central Indiana. It provides services to people with mental retardation, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, mental illness, and physical, hearing and other health impairments. The agency offers a range of community services, such as adult living skills training, program development, educational trips and transportation services. The agency also offers a variety of industrial services that include inspection and testing, hand finishing, assembly, mailing, sorting, kitting, packaging and light manufacturing. Shares has been operational for more than 30 years and is located in Rushville, Ind.
