Roto-Rooter Plumbers 4/24/2013, invoice 43297 I've used Roto-Rooter several times in the past, with mostly-positive results (last year excepted). This year, by the luck of the draw, they sent Robert Harvey, who is absolutely terrific--he's prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, reasonable, and fair, and I'll definitely ask for him specifically in the future. Office manager/dispatcher Kelly is also impressive--she's friendly, intelligent, competent and reliable.
Although the plumber scheduled to arrive at my house was very late (10 AM appointment turned into a 4 PM arrival), the dispatcher was able to keep me informed of the delay and was very apologetic. When he arrived, Jeff was GREAT! Super-friendly, very knowledgeable, and understanding. He was happy to show me what he was doing each step of the way and gave me lots of good information to keep my dishwasher and garbage disposal running in the future. He went above and beyond the call of duty while he was under my sink by tightening my spigot, which had come loose. Jeff was great about wiping up any water that spilled on my wood floor and cabinetry, and did a great job cleaning up behind himself. He was kind to my animals and humored my daughter's curiosity, all while providing me with an efficient and quality repair. If you're looking for a good plumber in the Charlottesville area, Jeff at Roto-Rooter is your guy! If not for the delayed timing (which I believe he couldn't have helped), I would have rated this service as EXCELLENT.
