Based in Royal Oak, Mich., the Department of Public Service is one of the service divisions operated by the local city government. The department offers a variety of services to city residents, including infrastructure maintenance, managing emergency situations, and maintenance of traffic signals and downtown lighting. Its motor pool and communications division offers fleet maintenance and repair, facility maintenance, fueling, radio communications, and emergency lighting, sirens and radar unit maintenance.
