Back Creek Elementary School, located in Roanoke, Va., offers academic and extracurricular programs to more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in art, music, physical education, language arts, speech, technology, science and social studies. Established in 1937, Back Creek Elementary School supports various sports activities, including softball, track and field, football and baseball. In addition, the school offers inclusion and special education programs to students with autism and hearing and visual impairments. Back Creek Elementary School also provides physical, occupational, speech and language therapies. The school has a parent-teacher association that supports the school through a volunteer program and contributes a range of materials and equipment to the school.
