The new stop & shop in Roslindale isn't too bad. Produce is usually good although some of their prod clerks don't know the difference between a sweet potato & a yam, & I had to return stawberries for being molded & when I was picking out more they were molded! However the return policy is great. The deli is pretty good, sometimes the young employees don't understand the importance of changing gloves & clean cheese! The bakery b day cakes taste very good, but some designs are poorly executed. There is no seafood counter, but a fresh seafood case; the meat is ok workers are helpful. One thing that really bothers me is THERE'S NEVER ANYONE IN THE DAIRY SECTION! The employees are usually very helpful if you find one from a diff department. The managers need to keep the real workers & TOSS the IMPOSTERS! Sometimes the lines are long, but sort of quick. Costomer service needs 2 or 3 people @ all times to really be effective. The cashiers are usually friendly, The bathrooms are usually clean with soap available. Above all GREAT DEALS!

I hope that the new stop & shop will be new in every way from the old stop and shop right next to it. I shop there occasionally and always hopefully. The associates are consistently rude and unhelpful. Last week I did everything I could to try to get the cashier and the customer service associate to make eye contact and to speak to me but to no avail. I wished them happy new year but again no answer. We need this supermarket and I hope it does well. The strip mall where it is located is a ghost town and maybe a good S&S could bring some life back into it.S&S regional: please train your employees: managers on down to greet the customer with eye contact and occasionally a smile. It really helps and could become contagious.I look forward to the grand opening tomorrow and hope that it goes well
