Spectro Alloys Corporation is primarily a manufacturer and broker of low-cost aluminum alloys for small and large foundries and die casters in the Midwest. In this role, Spectro is a leading consumer of scrap aluminum, and, with more than $8 million invested in new pollution control equipment for its dryers and furnaces, the company operates one of the highest-efficiency, large-volume aluminum smelting plants in the United States. The company purchases scrap aluminum in the form of sheet aluminum, cast aluminum, painted siding, segregated alloys, aluminum radiators, automobile rims and auto shreds. Spectro Alloys Corporation operates its ISO 9002 certified facility in Rosemount, Minn.
