Last weekend I made a trip to the beautiful Rappahannock County, and was thrilled to try one of the new restaurants that has opened near my sister's place of employment. For background purposes I'm going to share some family information. My brother in-law is from Hawaii, and I have been fortunate to visit twice. It is truly Paradise! I have tried all of the food there, and the Asian fusion is some of the best. One will find Portuguese sausage mixed with fried rice, Loco Moco (rice topped with a hamburger steak, gravy, and fried egg), Spam Musubi (quick spam, seaweed, and rice snacke), and so much more. Most people will think of Spam when food is mentioned about Hawaii, but there is so much more! Trust me, even the Spam that is served in Hawaii makes our Spam taste like the worst fast food you have had. Excellent Hawaiian-style plate lunch restaurant. You cannot judge this eatery by it's interior furnishings! Furnished with casual folding chairs & tables, this is the real thing - - just as you would find in local neighborhood eateries in Hawaii. Island Delicaseas offers an extensive menu which is surprising to find; the majority of return diners are those 'kamaaina' or Hawaiian locals who know their Hawaiian-style food and miss it's availability here on the 'mainland'. The owner & cook is very friendly and capable of treating your taste buds to a memory of the Islands! Visit and judge the eatery by the food served.
