The salad bar at the Rockland House could make the whole trip worthwhile. There are soups and different kinds of salads and soups, warm bread and vegatables they say are from a farm behind the restarant.The house prime rib is huge, and not fatty like other restaurants. The native brook trout comes as a whole trout, head and all, which did not please my wife, but was presented nicely and tasted great (our waitress took the fish back and had the head taken off for my wife).Many of the staff are local girls, so they know all of the local history and can give you great directions to other things you might like to see.We will definitely be back next summer when we stay at our campsite.
