The Coosa River Trading Post is a great place to go to catch some great fish. I love coming and fishing off the lock and off the banks here. I always seem to have a good time catching stripe, crappie, catfish, white bass, hybrid, shad, and many more. It always depends on the time of year for what kind of fish I catch, but whenever I go, I usually always seem to catch something. I would definitely recommend coming and fishing here. It is also a great place for camping. There are 31 sites here and they are all good location. Not too far from the river at all. They have a clean bath house where you can do laundry as well. I come here all the time, year round, and I would tell everyone to make a stop if you are ever in the Rome area!
